You do not need to have any film experience to take this class. All you need is a creative mind and an excitement to learn and have fun!

SINGING FOR PEOPLE!
Love to sing? Are you looking for a friendly, stress-free environment to explore your love for singing with others? If you enjoy singing in the shower and want to take it further, then "Singing for People" is the perfect class for you!
Course Overview:
Led by the voice coach Ben Senterfit, this in-person class at Community Music Space is designed for individuals who have a passion for singing and are looking for an opportunity to sing with a group.
Learn the basics of breath control, posture, and resonance to develop a solid foundation for your singing capabilities. Gain confidence in your voice through practical exercises and vocal warm-ups. We will learn to sing as an ensemble developing the skills to blend your voice with others in the group.
No prior singing experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and desire to learn!
'Ol Factory Brass Band: Summer 2024!
Attention horn players and drummers!
The 'Ol Factory brass band is back!. Here’s a great opportunity for horn players and drummers to play with their friends in an experimental and lively environment. This New Orleans-style brass band will meet weekly, learning old-school jams and recognizable modern tunes.
Our Summer Band will meet weekly in preparation for a fall performance in the community!
Students should have a basic proficiency in their instrument.

Language of Music Summer Camps offer kids an interactive opportunity to learn about music and theater, with the support from our experience staff and awesome camp councilors.
Recording & Production Workshop for Adults
Interested in learning how to record music in a professional studio? Join this exciting new workshop where we will dive into Space Studios, discovering the fundamentals of music production and studio technology, including tracking, editing, mixing, and mastering recordings. We'll also dive into beat-making, sampling, and looping.
If you play an instrument, this is a great opportunity to put those skills to work, however, no musical experience is necessary to participate!
We will also help you build your own home studio so that you can continue making music on your own.
'OL FACTORY JAZZ COMBO
Come swing with the ‘Ol Factory jazz Combo!
We’re not talking about background cocktail music, but the real deal, bombastic, hard-hitting, swinging music born right here in the USA!
This group is a great opportunity for instrumental and voice students to build their experience with jazz repertoire while learning to improvise and play in a fun group setting.
Students should have at least a year of experience playing their instrument.
The ‘Ol Factory Jazz Combo will rehearse weekly in preparation for a community spring performance.

The Band Lab Rock Ensemble is a great way to learn to play with other kids for the first time. Plug in, tune-up, and get ready to jam with your friends learning classic rock tunes.
This is a great opportunity for kids who are just beginning to play in a group setting to get comfortable keeping time, playing rhythm, and learning to improvise.

SUMMER BAND LAB: THE GROOVE ENSEMBLE
The Groove Ensemble is a week-long summer camp for kids and teens interested in jamming and playing in a group environment. This ensemble will take classic funk, blues, and rock tunes and jam over them, learning to play solid rhythm, developing soloing skills, and communicating musically with each other. Then we will write our own original songs and play them in an end-of-week performance. We’ll provide the amps, drums, mics, and the studio. All you have to do is show up, turn on, and start making music! Whether you are a guitarist, drummer, bassist, horn player, or singer, this is a great opportunity to learn to jam!
Experience Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Students should have a solid understanding of basic chords, be able to play a blues scale, and be able to keep time.

The Language of Music - The Songwriting School
For Children ages 4 and 5
Our Language of Music classes offer kids an interactive and hands on opportunity to learn about music.
With the support from our amazing faculty and energetic assistants, our young musicians will explore the magic of music in a playful environment, learning the basics of piano, guitar, and wind instruments. We will play music and theater games, and use our professional studio to record our very own original recordings.
FINDING YOUR VOICE: Essential Elements of Singing
Learning to sing is a practice of self discovery.
More than anything, singing can help you learn more about yourself, how you breathe, how you stand, the sounds you use to express yourself. In this class, you will learn new ways to express yourself, new approaches to breathing, posture, and resonance.
At the end of this 8 week class, you will have a solid understanding of fundamental vocal techniques, learn how to find and develop your true authentic voice, and a develop a deeper understanding of how singing can help you learn more about yourself.

'Ol factory Brass Band
Attention brass, woodwinds, and drummers!
The 'Ol Factory brass band is back!
This band will meets weekly learning old school jams as well as recognizable modern tunes in Preparation for our December march in the legendary SinterKlaass parade in Rhinebeck!
This group is a great opportunity for teens and adults to get an opportunity to play in a upbeat group setting.
Participants should have a good foundation on their instrument, be open to playing and learning by ear, and be able to play while walking.

The Monday night Jam is is weekly jam session at Space Studios. This group works on becoming more proficient players, working on rhythm, chord progressions, and melody. Tunes range from The Grateful Dead and The Band and across to classic blues and rock covers.

Bits of Broadway 2019!
Directed by Mary Ward and Ben Senterfit, this fun filled week-long camp creates an exciting performing arts experience for children and youth. Campers learn songs, scenes, dance/choreography from Broadway musicals and also explore the wacky world of improvisation.
