The Old Time String Band is an ensemble that meets at Community Music Space to share songs from the age of music when recording was done on a wax cylinder or not at all. Prior to each session we will discuss a few tunes to play, post the chords and melodies on our website, and then arrange and play them down at the session. We will pull from Old Time, Folk, Bluegrass, and Irish musical traditions.
