Sean Gallagher

Sean Gallagher is a pianist and multi-instrumentalist that has been performing in the greater Hudson Valley for the past 30 years. Sean has had the pleasure to appear as a 4 time guest performer on banjo/mandolin with Bard's The Orchestra Now and toured Ireland twice on keyboards with reggae group Natty Wailer and the Reggae Vibes. Sean performs regularly with his jazz quartet and is a founding member of soul jazz ensembles The Forefathers and the Hudson Organ Trio as well as the traditional Irish band O'Sullivans March.
Composing and teaching piano and brass locally, Sean also co-runs the community based New Orleans style Ol' Factory Brass Band based out of Red Hook. He teaches piano, organ, accordion, brass, guitar, and banjo at The Red Hook Community Music Space and Bard College's Preparatory Program and holds a BA in Jazz Performance and Composition from SUNY NewPaltz.
