How many lessons do I get with a membership?


You will receive ongoing weekly lessons at Community Music Space or Online with your monthly payment. Most months have 4 or 5 lessons, and occasionally 3 lessons in observance of major national holidays.

What if I need to cancel a lesson?

When a lesson is canceled with at least 24-hour advance notice (either Online, or by Email, Phone, or Text), a make-up lesson credit will be issued to your account. Credits may be used to schedule makeup lessons online or by email at any time with your teacher or another available teacher.

Cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice will not qualify for a makeup lesson credit unless approved by the studio.

What if i decide to cancel my membership? 

You may cancel a membership at any time. Memberships canceled after the monthly payment has been processed will receive credit for the month and the membership will be canceled at the beginning of the next month. Membership may be canceled by email notification or in person to the studio only and not through the teacher. We DO NOT offer refunds on remaining balances, only credit. Balances are transferable to any other lesson or class, however, cash refunds are not given. Membership is also transferable to another family member.

When do my monthly payments come out?

Your first month's payment is due upon the sale date. After that, you will be charged on the first of each month.

What if I would prefer not to purchase a monthly membership?

If you are not sure you’d like to commit to weekly lessons or are just looking for a few lessons here and there, we also offer packs of lessons. These packages work like a punch card. At the moment, you must book pre-paid lessons one at a time and packages must be purchased internally by the studio.

What if my teacher is unavailable to teach?


If your teacher is unable to teach a lesson, we will work to find a substitute. If we are unable to find a sub, you will receive a lesson credit. Credits can be used to reschedule with the same teacher or any other teacher at the studio. The regular lesson cancellation policy applies to substitute teachers. If your teacher is not able to continue weekly lessons, we will work with you to find a new teacher. 

WHAT IF I HAVE CREDITS ON MY ACCOUNT THAT I CAN’T USE?

Sometimes, students will build up credits that they are not able to make up due to scheduling conflicts or a teacher’s unavailability. in this case, we will put your next month’s payment on hold and use the credits to book lessons for that month. This is done at the discretion of the studio and will not occur until at least four (4) credits have accrued.

What about Summer (July, August):


A monthly membership may be put on hold for up to two (2) months by notifying the studio that you will be away. Your lesson time and teacher will be reserved by pre-paying tuition for the returning month. While on summer hold, members may purchase individual lessons or packages of lessons.
