Adriana Tampasis

Flute/Saxophone/Clarinet

Adriana is a performer, composer, and educator from the Hudson Valley. She specializes in flute, alto flute, and piccolo performance and holds additional years of experience in saxophone and bass clarinet studies.

Adriana received her B.A. in Jazz Composition & Performance from Bard College with an emphasis on contemporary and improvised music. Mentored by both leading classical and jazz professionals such as Erica Lindsay, John Esposito, Patricia Spencer, Bruce Williams, pianist Francesca Tanksley and bassist Ira Coleman, Adriana is a multi-instrumentalist and versatile player and educator. She was awarded the Nesushi Ertegan Scholarship in Music for her accomplishments in jazz performance.

Adriana has performed throughout the Northeast collaborating with artists in jazz, contemporary, R&B, classical and avant-garde music styles. Her work is interested in engaging music with visual and performance arts and has since collaborated with artists from fields such as dance, film, and studio arts. She is currently working on a commission to compose a large chamber jazz ensemble piece.
